Episodic color transitions from desaturated institutional tones (Ep 1-2) to the salmon, green, and gold of Johannesburg's Brixton unit (Ep 3-4), and the sub-tropical greens of coastal Durban (Ep 8-10).

Episode 1 — University Lecture Hall & Retro AV

Micki lecturing on serial killer psychology. Fabricated early 1990s institutional academic set with vintage overhead acetate projectors, timber acoustic paneling, and period teaching apparatus.

TRANSFORMATION BUILD // AIRPORT

Episode 1 — 1990s Cape Town Airport Interior

Recreation of the vanished 1990s D.F. Malan Airport inside a decommissioned government customs warehouse. Custom period signage, flight boards, check-in desks, and vintage institutional fixtures.

CHARACTER INTERIOR BUILD

Episode 3 — Micki's Apartment Interior

Constructed from author notes to reflect Micki's solitary, understated personality. Authentic mid-century modern furniture, warm domestic timber textures, and period domestic dressing.

PERIOD POLICE HEADQUARTERS

Episode 3 & 4 — Brixton Murder and Robbery Unit

The notorious Johannesburg investigative unit. Meticulously styled with a signature salmon, green, and gold palette representing South Africa's gold capital, vintage telex machines, and period files.

PERIOD DOMESTIC ENVIRONMENT

Episode 6 — Lower-Class 1990s Residential Interior

Detective investigating a 1990s domestic household. Floor-to-wall retro floral wallpaper, vintage cathode-ray televisions, period carpeting, and muted earth-tone palette.

FABRICATED FORENSIC SETS

Episodes 1–9 — Soundstage Morgues & Forensic Labs

Multiple regional mortuaries designed and constructed inside empty industrial soundstages. Period stainless steel autopsy tables, cold ceramic tiling, and vintage surgical instrumentation.

REGIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS

Episodes 8–10 — Durban Coastal Murder Unit & Sugar Cane

Coastal investigative unit set against KwaZulu-Natal's sugar cane crime worlds. High humidity aesthetic, weathered timber, ceiling fans, and sub-tropical institutional hues.
